SPRINGHILL AREA credit union has an immediate need for a COLLECTION SPECIALIST!! Excellent established credit union offering a competitive starting salary and opportunity for growth. Candidate should have previous collection experience, knowledge of state and federal collection and bankruptcy laws, and excellent verbal and written communications. Applicant will be responsible for monitoring and collecting delinquent accounts, working out a mutually acceptable payment schedule that protects the credit union and the member, and recommending remedial collection action when necessary. Establish skip-trace and schedule regular follow-up, refer all bankruptcies to Bankruptcy Specialist, and have a working knowledge and understanding of the credit union's operational policies and procedures, by-laws, organization, and philosophy. This opportunity is LESS than fulltime, approximately 30 hours per week. NO outside collections; all work is done within the credit union facility.
