Job Description:

Reporting directly to a Lead Mechanic, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, the Diesel Mechanic in Bossier City, LA, US, during evening shifts is tasked with performing repair and maintenance duties on a range of diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.



These responsibilities encompass servicing chassis components, refuse bodies (including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems), air brake systems, general engine upkeep, HVAC components, as well as suspension, drive train, and steering systems.

Responsibilities:
--- Conduct advanced repair and maintenance tasks on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, specifically during the 2nd shift in Bossier City, LA, US.
--- Specialize in repairing chassis components and maintaining refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as air brake systems.
--- Demonstrate expertise in engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems, along with HVAC components.
--- Utilize electronic tools to identify malfunctions and perform complex repair duties both on-site and on the road.
--- Participate in all relevant Company training programs to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and equipment.
--- Be prepared to handle various assigned tasks and make a positive contribution to the community and the environment.
--- While experience in waste hauling is beneficial, it is not a requirement for this role.

Qualifications:
--- To qualify for the Diesel Mechanic - Evenings in Bossier City, LA, US position, having a valid Driver's License is essential.
--- The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
--- Proficiency in independently performing inspections and repairs on various heavy truck and automotive systems is a critical requirement for this role.
--- While it is beneficial to hold ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8), it is not mandatory.
--- Previous exposure to LNG and/or CNG is advantageous, although not required.
--- Having a Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License would be beneficial, but it is not a compulsory criterion.
